Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 12 June 1987. Harrison discusses growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, her experiences as a Black in a segregated community, and her religious activities as a Catholic. She also describes her experiences at a Catholic school as a student and as a teacher. She discusses her conversion to the Mormon Church and some of the positive and negative experiences that she has had as a member.
